Okay, what's the deal with Chaf Games?
Bought D&D through Chaf Games because the official website was borked, transaction went through, but the download isn't working so I can't even begin to install the game. The installer for Chaf Games gets stuck at 60%.

Now I emailed them to request a refund and they blocked me.

Welp, guess I'll be calling the bank tomorrow to dispute it.

Many people have also had their purchases through chaf games double and even triple charged, and allegedly in rare cases have taken thousands of dollars out of peoples accounts when they made a purchase.

Just seems like a shady platform in every which way (which for some reason everyone keeps claiming is professional, they even have spelling mistakes that haven't been addressed for a long time now, a small thing sure, but no other professional company seems to have that issue), i'm sorry that happened to you, i wish you luck with your dispute.

I haven't been charged multiple times (yet, anyway), but if that's a risk then I'm definitely calling my bank in the morning to dispute the charge and put a freeze on any future transactions with said company. I can't believe Ironmace partnered with such a shady company for this game.

Well, update: They gave me a refund after speaking with help in the chat window on their website.

They are responsive with the refunds at least. I guess they know they botched this games launch. I can't be the only unsatisfied customer here.

I'm definitely getting it through the official Ironmace website though.

They claim the multiple charges is being caused due to the high traffic of purchases being made from the dark and darker release, and is overwhelming their servers, which even if true is pretty ludicrous. "Professional" lol.
They do say that particular issue has been fixed, but i'd dispute it through the bank anyway, not worth trying to wait for them to get in the mood to refund you, in maybe 2 or 3 months time if you're lucky and they're feeling generous, after hundreds of emails talking to bots and other time wasting mechanics.

Fantastic news, i'm glad. Also be careful of getting it through their website though, IronMace is using Xsolla as the only payment method. They are known for selling the payment details of people who make payments through them, as well as making multiple fraudulent payments to said accounts.
My bank doesn't even let me use Xsolla as a payment service, even through google pay. I called my bank thinking my card was blocked or something, nope, just the payment service committing fraud.

I don't think that happens super commonly, but if you do use it just watch your account like a hawk.

EDIT: IronMace does state that they intend on adding alternative payment methods soon, so that's what i'm waiting for as i literally am not allowed to use Xsolla by my Bank LOL

*sigh* I got lucky getting a refund here, I don't want to put my personal information at risk again using another payment method I don't trust.

I'm wondering if I should just wait at this point and hope this game comes back to Steam. It sounds like it has a lot of problems right now anyway.

I'd say wait and see what alternative payment methods they add whenever "soon" is, hopefully there will be one not owned by Russian data scrapers... That's what i'm doing anyway, if their next choice of payment methods is as tasteless as Xsolla i'm just going to stop following it and just wait for a steam release, or for an alternative game to be made that's inspired by dark and darker. Which is going to happen, i'm just probably going to waiting a while
