Game WILL NOT LAUNCH tavern wont start

same here. I uninstalled, tried to run tavern master as admin. Nothing. we cant be the only ones. Someone Help!!!!

try deleting taverncom_1_ from task manager (you should be prompted if you're sure, hit "yes").
revalidate your files.
click play.

if tavernworker is the issue, uninstalling the game won't fix it, the anti-cheat is separate; you're not fixing it.

very odd it didnt prompt error code 21, cause thats how you fix it too. Sometimes the anticheat over-rides settings or something before the game when its suppose to be after or vis-versa.

personally i would recommend to never change admin privileges. I forget which one does it, but if you make 1 admin, it over-rides the other and prevents you from launching. If this happens all you have to do is just undo it.

- Stop and delete TavernComm_1_1 service
- Stop and delete TavernWorker_1_1 service
- Delete tavern*.* files , tvk.sys, UpdateVersion.dat in Dark and Darker folder
- Launch recheck game files from Steam ( it downloads about 9 files )
- Launch the game

I might be mistaken (I'll be able to say for sure tomorrow), but the reason for Code 16 is that Tavern fails to finish downloading some of its updates.

The updates are downloaded to `Program Files\IRONMACE`.

I discovered this after uninstalling the game and its services, rebooting, and performing a clean install.

Launching the game normally (without a VPN) resulted in Code 16. It launched successfully with a VPN.
After that, it started launching without a VPN.

The files in `Program Files\IRONMACE` had changed.

For example, `TavernWorker.exe` went from 41.6 MB to 48.5 MB (unfortunately, I didn't calculate the MD5 hash for the original file).

Never seen error code 16. only 21, and i think 24 (because I gave the wrong thing, wrong privileges).
I also don't use a VPN.
In countries where you're required to use one, there's a work-around i think that was just recently discovered. though that might've been for a ISP ban...can't say for certain.
