Stat rolls on gear change?
Im seeing helmets with additional move speed, gloves with additional move speed, chest pieces with +1 all on them. What did I miss in the patch notes? I thought they made it so addition move speed only showed up on boots, and things like +1 all only on jewelry? This wipe is gonna see some wild min maxed kits like we saw in the old play test days. Theres no reason I should be hitting 104% move speed on fighter with only green gloves helm and boots. no one can get away from me.

SDF is chasing his own tail, running in circles, so he decides to try out ideas he tried out in the past and came to a conclusion they were failures, but we've got them back again, just to make sure.

And that's how stupid stat rolls and fortnite circle made it back to the game.

BTW wait until you see +4 all stat uniques.

Yup, with these, you can have 50 str, agi, dex, vit barbarians, and just imagine the 500 hp on bear druid one-tapping everything.

This is the "new vision" sdf is pushing with this wipe, the "back to the roots" thing giga sweats were advocating and pushing for for months.

My personal bet is either these changes will end with this season and will be gone for good, or the game will.

Yall wont even see this gear regardless. Guarantee you all sit in pve mode anyway. HR is already pve mode, you see no one.
I'd rather have one role than a paragraph of rolls on uniques.
Yeah they got gear in a good place for once and sdf got bored so they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the whole system up again.

i found a crossbow with like +12 or 14 movespeed...... i think a few things could be tweeked with the stats for sure, but they might want people to have/feel "power fantasy" in PvE with 600+gs and maxed everything....idk.

LMAO at that point why even have move speed penalty and why not just give everyone the max cap by default. Tho maybe that was the thought process? barbarian and rondel fighter and etc already have cap move speed and others could get it easily so now its available for everyone far easier making barbarians +12% and shirtless lizard seem pointless just for max speed cap.

I bet I could get max speed cap with plate armor and max pdr too. hmm once market opens up we are all in for a wiiiiiiiiilllld ride... I can see it now max move speed, +4 all on each item + true magic damage warlocks with flamewalker running around wiping lobbies this seasons gonna be entertaining/not boring atleast I guess

I wouldn't mind some gear having penalties and positives tho, might be interesting and make it balance out the insane buffs they're giving out. like say a plate body has +5 strength -5 will as an example. that kind of thing. a shield has +vigor and - agility and stuff.

they must have some new plans for how everything works to be testing these kinds of things out so far in this season.

possibly religion having some more stuff and species being reworked to actually be more impactful. (because why use a lizard skin have less headshot protection, only 20 armor and no helmet) when you can have a helmet give +15 move speed and +4 all attributes plus its base stats and prob far more than 20 armor anyways. seems like a massive nerf on ourselves.

perhaps they will change stats and add passives to each species. (hopefully a toggle off option for purely cosmetic for those who just want the looks not stats too)

like lizard man can prob have a feasting passive to heal a small amount per kill on anything (feasting) maybe they give it 75 armor or something. they could also have each color be different like it is for their lore text (which implied to me from the start they intended to go further into the species depth) like a red ones a barbarian type theme, a blue ones a smart/magical/wizard type theme and the green ones an archery/forest/nature type theme.

obviously opening doors for other species too.

-vampire that can see in dark but is blinded by light/torches. (think whisps flashbang the closer to light sources you get.) strong positives/weaknesses.

-frog slow on land higher jump height and an additional jump charge. fast in water.

and so on.

it may sound crazy but I actually have a good feeling about the direction they're going (aside from the circle in HR thats just dumb to bring back no one liked it lol) but it almost seems like they're ripping up the old faulty foundation and revisiting it to relay a different one to then build off of. we may think +4 all attributes per item piece is broken right? but what if the way they scale it into the future makes attributes more or less impactful in various ways.

another example is what if they buff all the attributes impact on the character, have items give more attributes and change every classes base attributes to like 5 all default and let the players build from there using items? Id personally prefer a + and - button by each stat to build my own character and the stats I want. But that would also be a nice update too.

and their universal market merger while giving more slots. It would be really nice if they did the everyone starts at no attributes, no class, no perks, no actives, no spells. and then we can allocate our points, choose our perks from any of the various classes. (which in a sense is multiclassing and building our own custom DnD characters) then we can choose our actives from any class and can choose our spells from a list of all spell options.

from a balance perspective it would actually make everything balanced since we all have access to the exact same roster. If they need to lock certain perks or actives from being available if you choose X Y or Z they can too, or they can scale it down if the player has them together. that kind of thing. I can actually see it happening and making the game actually fun and not a boring snooze fest.

you would likely never run into a player with exactly the same build/perks/actives/species skin. maybe close but very rarely if ever the exact same. That in itself would keep every fight fresh, every fight unpredictable and every match you play full of surprises and new things/fun.

this would also reduce us from needing 10 different characters and 10 different names just to play 10 different classes. you have your 1 character, and build them into the class you want and prob have a few saved presets you can quickload too. so 1 character and 1 name would have access to all classes and 1 market. would be more friendly to old and newer players with and without legendary too. and they have a goldmine of cosmetic/skins for gear, weapons, items, druid animals, species, animations and so on.

they could literally sell a hellfire recolor, or flame walker recolor to every color that exists for 1$ each too or 1 shard w/e. a goldmine of skin sales to fund them imo. they dont need to block character limits for the free players.
