I think its a pretty great design, actually. You can't just open your wallet to be meta. This also ensures the RMT kids can't do anything in Arena unless they wanna risk losing it all.
Take gear in that is marked with your characters name, basically stuff you have either looted from dungeon yourself or crafted with that character, then you keep the gear when losing.
- You don't lose equipment IF you found it yourself when extracting from the dungeons OR craft it with a merchant.
- You win all the loot you collect from chests and mobs in an Arena match IF you win the match
don't take gear bought from market into the arena or you'll lose it
