longsword parry needs to be nerfed
All I ever see it people just holding the block button and spinning like an autistic child trying to get you to hit the sword so they get a free parry.
It should only parry on a perfect block.. Thats the only thing I can really give dungeonborne credit for for is their parry system actually felt good

100%
And for anyone that doesnt know, the parry hits do like 1.5x normal damage. Why do only 2 classes get this weapon, and its the 2 best classes XD
Every weapon needs a parry with perfect block, or the damage needs to be reduced to normal.

Gotta learn to aim for the legs and exposed head. Also don't bother attacking with weapons that have a diagonal swing that is the opposite of the longsword block.

I was aiming for the legs. I almost killed this guy with the warhammer so hitting him in the legs wasnt a problem, but all he did the entire fight was hold block and spin like an autist for that ONE lucky parry. He literally NEVER swung back just held block and spun got the lucky parry at the end + headshot. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. Parry needs to be a perfect block

They should add a knockdown mechanic where if your character is bent all over the place crouching and looking up while blocking, he falls down and has to get back up upon being striked. As you would in real life. Then anyone with heavy metal gear would take like 8 seconds to stand up. Fix that problem real fast. Wizards would get up quickly like 1.5 seconds.

You're using a weapon that has a swing that the longsword can catch extremely easily, if I was him, I'd try and catch a parry too.

Honestly I feel like they should move some of the power from the counter into its base swings, make using a Longsword more about a balance between aggression and defense and less about fishing for that one -clink- before slamming massive damage multipliers into people's faces.

Longsword already chunks and has good range for what it's capable of, it would just make Longsword players more aggressive.

Absolutely no, dont nerf the most fun weapon in the game, you have warlocks killing people with 2/3 curses and ability to heal for free and disengage on cooldown, bards objectively insanely strong even in solos, clerics healing 2 full hp meters in a teamfight, druids with their insane mobility and yet you ♥♥♥♥♥ about the thing that has counterplay, is inconsistent and mechanically challenging

They just need to change the parry window, being able to hold m2 is braindead

They use store bought assets is how it was explained to me, and that the parry mechanic is like tied into the actual asset they pre-bought. So the other weapons dont have parrys on them, which is why we cant parry with an arming sword or something. The devs would have to actually code their own parry mechanic.

Shield slam should be fixed really. Most often it just ends up with me double blocking for 0.1 seconds and wasting time with no slam after a successful block.

Shield slam should be an ability you can use any time you want, it should require blocking and then pressing the attack button at the same time. So instead of swinging with your weapon, since you are *already blocking* the attack button shield slams instead.

Shield slam should counter longsword, they should have to stop trying to parry because theyre being bashed in the face and swing back or run away. This would buff shield classes like Cleric who in general are bad and undertuned. Shield fighter even should be the counter to longsword fighter.

TLDR give cleric a reason to use a shield at all because even if people dont know it 1h+lantern for mobility is the meta. Which is dumb, and nobody enjoys.

Doesn't work the way you think it does. A set of full plate armor has alot of manuverability to it that the ignorant get the wrong idea about because they watch movies or shows too much that know nothing about how cumbersome the armor actually is not.
You can literally do cartwheels in full plate due to its range of motion from wearing it so please remove that nonsense idea you have about armor users being knocked down and taking years to get back up. You are clearly unchecked in the department of knowing.

Stay close and drag your weapon. Longsword loses.

They should, but that's not going to happen because it's a fighter.
