Are wipes early access only?

I am obsessed with this game but I'm not sure I want to stick with it through wipes. I haven't made my mind up. I might try *the other one* because it doesn't have wipes but from what I'm told that game has less depth.

So are they planning to continue wipes forever? sorry I tried search function but I got both answers.

the only reason the DaD enthusiasts are spreading misinformation about "the other one" having "less depth" is because they are upset that the majority of the community has moved over to "the other one."

Having played both, "the other one" is clearly better. Better maps. Better ai. Better classes. Better combat. Better quality of life in general.

The extraction genre as a whole has wipes as a standard feature. That being said, iirc the next wipe will bring with it account-wide quests so you won't need to complete the same quests on every single character you have.

tell me more about the better combat and ai. I've grown to love the quirks of both in this game but if that really is better that might sell me

check it out. the ai there isnt breandead like in DaD where you can just jump on a box and they break. you can cut a skeletons arms off and it will drop its weapons. good stuff.

Sadly yes, the items go too. It's to both keep things fresh by creating an incentive to go get the cool stuff again, and to give newer players a chance against the more veteran ones by equalizing their gear at the start.

It's probably a necessity to keep the economy from going insane

which one is better for having classes do crazy stuff that messes with people? like for people who aren't great at micro but like to be clever and set traps and whatnot? I like some of the off the wall stuff druid rogues and bards can do in this.

druids can do some fun stuff, but for me i enjoy pyro, which can levitate and float up into the air to get better angles. its fun.

i'd be wary of private lvl 0 accounts that don't even show games / play times lol... Dungeonborne is a game created by a company who is owned by a subsidiary of tencent, a chinese super corporation. Really wonder why there's so many lvl 0 private accounts talking about dungeonborne in the OG game's forum hmmmm

yes. steam tracks both playercounts. both games have about 23k online right now.
