In the case of a difficult game like DaD, this means playing a far worse game like DB which is also much easier. It's a coping method.
But you can only cope for so long until you realize your game has nothing going on, the playerbase is dropping and the servers are shutting down in six months.
I refer to that feeling as "mobile energy".
Yeah I feel that
Just like path of exile is a copy of diablo...just like pubg and fortinite is from the original h1z1...anyway...it happens...you keep playing dad, let other people enjoy the fun.
By just being able to switch characters for free...that is a relief.
Also minimap in game...ooof.
Intuitive quests and easier stuff overall....
But both suffer from the same punitive pvp.
It...doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy, feels a bit more interested in spectacle over substance.
Dad is spending your time running against other players who don't want to fight and that is quite a bore.
The pros: Somehow better graphics. And thats it.
The PVE is quite annoying since you have to get a ton of potions (there is no rest mechanic)
The PVP is far easier. The gamma really destroys any element of surprise or gang.
The PVP can be summed up as "Whoever sees the other first is the winner".
I have killed more players as a noob in DB than in DAD because its far easier to kill.
Its more arcade than DaD which is more challenging.
What annoys me most are all the DaD rejects ,who either want the game to be full free to play or just dont like the challenge of a game that needs sometime to learn its mechanics.
So DB just tries to appease to these DaD rejects and offers them the ability to create many classes and a more arcadey pvp.
There are like 5 melee weapons in that game.
They have fancy animations, but that's all they have.
On the bright side, speed meta is not a problem there, every character except rogue feels like you're controlling actual Joe Biden.
