why did they change high roller requirments
225 gear score is way to high the 100 gold anti was more than enough all this does is turn high roller into a pvp area and stops the pve side of the game if i want to practice nightmare mobs why do i need to be rocking a 225 gear score kit. Also this nerfs the poor man and newer player looking to get gear because now they cant access high roler loot without forking out cash for a kit

If you're new to dark and darker, the devs are fans of making drastic changes for 1 or 2 weeks then rolling it back, they wants player feedback so they just do ♥♥♥♥ and see who complains and how loud.

They talked about they wanted less rat/crow game play, which is were players (mostly rogues and druis) will come in with next to nothing and try to pick the goods off other players bodies. It can be annoying if you win a 3v3 team fight with only 1 death. The two alive players revive their boy and head back to loot... only to find half the bodies picked over.

If its a full team snagging your loot, not a big problem. When its a single player who is risking next to nothing, built for stealth and speed who snatches up all your loot its annoying. They also changed time to loot kills if you didnt kill the player this patch.

They have talked about balancing the risk/reward i think this is an attempt at that.

You can also buy junk 2 hand weapons just to get your gear score up, will act like the old 100 gold entry fee.

higher rarity potions and consumable also increase your GS, tho honestly if you've never done HR before, i think the gearscore cap is better. the mobs in there do more/take more/and run super quick. if you're not prepared for it, its going to be a horrible experience. that said i also really wouldnt load in naked and would normally be over that cap anyways, i can save my 100g.

i can consistently run naked highroler and escape with an invintory of blues and purples so i would disagree that naked is throwing away 100 gold

not dying with a kit vs dying naked is the same when it comes to the 100g. the difference is risk. High roller is suppose to be more of a risk/reward challenge. running in naked is 0risk other than the gear you found during that run.

With this change, how the hell newbies are suppose to farm better items? This is the most ridiculous change that one could probably think of.

If newbies are able to get through high roller with a minimal gear/meds they arent newbies

you do non HR, practice doing under 25gs, collect some gear, earn some gold, try matches under 125, collect more gear, earn more gold and save while doing the quests. after learning mob attack patterns and you know the maps and have a loot route you like to take. granted you could expedite the learning process by throwing yourself in HR naked, some people learn better in more extreme environments vs taking it slow.

HR is also suppose to be the competitive side of the game, so yeah no, you really shouldn't be in there naked or as a noob. yes, it can be done, but you can be much more efficient with a decent kit vs naked saving you time and gold (if you dont die. again more risk, higher rewards)
Buy a few cheap blue weapons and whatever crap you got from a normal match, and then extract once in HR and now getting to 225 is never a problem anymore.
