Dark and Darker

Question about speed
Had just 2 weird occurances:
1: I managed to make my way through goblin caves, killed alot of mobs, suddenly a Warlock (no step sounds!) rushed by, dotted me - dead. Never saw anyone moving that fast. Is there a new hack since the update or was anything changed with sounds/walking speed?

2: The game directly after that, I killed my first 3 mobs when I saw a RAT jumping THROUGH A CLOSED DOOR. Is this a thing now? He moved insanely fast, rat form - bear for attack - back to rat through a hole in the floor - rinse and repeart - me dead.
So my question is: can druids in rat form jump through the window of the doors? Never saw that ever before.

I think i seen some in howling crypts, like the ones surrounding the very middle room of the map that has a lot of chests and wraith/skeleton champion guarding them

At least rangers were able to shoot through them, not sure if rat can jump through

there's move tech where if you crouch in a certain rhythm it makes it harder to hear footsteps, sometimes not at all if you're fighting stuff when they're sneaking up. couldve also been stuck in a web debuff maybe? those slow you down giving you the ms difference. different shoes make different noises but some i think its the same sound. could be a hacker but the only ones ive seen are like increased ranged on melee weapon and auto aim (which because everything has travel time and acts like a projectile can be harder to notice vs just a skilled player.) if they can do that they can probably do other things. most the stuff i see on people hacking on the game are from other people and their encounters. Most of the time, they immediately know and the hackers do die most of the time, cause i mean...they hack cause they're ass and can't learn.

rat form can do a BUNCH of different cheeses. saw a clip of someone using the ramp to one of the bosses on goblin caves, going outside the map and going ontop of the elevator and extracting when the elevator wasnt even there. theres a few doors in crypts and in frost caverns where druids can hop between the doors. some of the doors WITHOUT HOLES the druid can just simply walk in the crack/slit on the left/right side on the door into the otherside, tho idk if this recent patch where they fixed some spots rats shouldnt be able to go to, like just randomly falling into the void and dying got fixed along with it. druid is i think the class with the highest "skill expression".

I just had a very similar thing happen to me. No sound whatsoever and a cleric out of absolutely nowhere. Insta kills me.
Ive played the game for awhile, aint no fully geared cleric sneaking up on anybody..

Asking, because I've never seen stuff like this before the patch. So kinda expected this rat-door-thing to be something fishy.
On one hand, skill-expression might be a good thing (sneaking around pots, through the small tunnels without breaking them etc), but on the other, passing doors silently to me evades a core mechanic of movement in DnD. Hard to see this as "working as intended"...

That guy was definitively not crouching/caught in webs/debuffed. He moved almost faster than the rat-form druid jumping through the door in the second example. I really meant that "rushed by"-part. ;)

you can 100% hear a druid go through a door still doing that. every time they shape shift it makes a sound. the range i think is around the same as someone opening a door or chest, but not louder than someone shutting a door. at the same time theres a big flash of green that happens when they do it, some rooms in caves might be difficult with lighting but once you're use to seeing the color, you know. Summit1G had a meltdown the otherday because of druids specifically and their ability to run away from EVERY fight. druid is probably the sweatiest class, at least in terms of competitive goes i think. everyone always complains about barbs 1shotting or ranger traps etc etc...a skilled druid will die to mobs more than players x))))).

what gave it away that he was a warlock? could it had been a wizard with haste/invis you saw the silhouettes? was it over 125gs and the dude was like 400gs with max move speed? I haven't encountered this yet and haven't seen any videos on it yet in my feeds so i'm curious. they also changed the move speed penalty on items (idr if it was just the BIG shield or if there were others. they've stealth patched stuff before like beartraps) not that, that would be a HUGE noticeable difference.

It was in the >25 bracket, just started a new run. Saw the red curse casts, afaik only Warlocks have those visuals. And was killed by some curse in the message. So yeah, Warlock for sure. ;)

To make it clear, he just suddenly moved in really fast, cast some curses and ran on while I was trying to catch up. Died doing that.
What made me wonder was the silent approach (he could not've been there pot-invis as I worked through the room for 1-2 minutes and he was appearing behind) with no steps and the overall speed. Played rogue/barb with high move speed, but this was out of this world - at least from my perspective.
