I think i seen some in howling crypts, like the ones surrounding the very middle room of the map that has a lot of chests and wraith/skeleton champion guarding them
At least rangers were able to shoot through them, not sure if rat can jump through
Ive played the game for awhile, aint no fully geared cleric sneaking up on anybody..
Asking, because I've never seen stuff like this before the patch. So kinda expected this rat-door-thing to be something fishy.
On one hand, skill-expression might be a good thing (sneaking around pots, through the small tunnels without breaking them etc), but on the other, passing doors silently to me evades a core mechanic of movement in DnD. Hard to see this as "working as intended"...
That guy was definitively not crouching/caught in webs/debuffed. He moved almost faster than the rat-form druid jumping through the door in the second example. I really meant that "rushed by"-part. ;)
It was in the >25 bracket, just started a new run. Saw the red curse casts, afaik only Warlocks have those visuals. And was killed by some curse in the message. So yeah, Warlock for sure. ;)
To make it clear, he just suddenly moved in really fast, cast some curses and ran on while I was trying to catch up. Died doing that.
What made me wonder was the silent approach (he could not've been there pot-invis as I worked through the room for 1-2 minutes and he was appearing behind) with no steps and the overall speed. Played rogue/barb with high move speed, but this was out of this world - at least from my perspective.
