Daggers perks question

do Dagger Mastery and Thrust work when I attack with Rapier holding rapier with any dagger?
Or they just work only when you attack specifically with dagger?

This specification can be irrelevant in this case, that's why I am asking.
I thought 2nd line of my post should tell you something.

I'm pretty sure it's just specifically the dagger that it effects.

you can't apply dagger perks on a sword.

if you deal damage with a sword, a dagger perk does not work.

only the stats from your rapier count. like lets say your off-hand weapon has 5% armor penetration, then yes your primary weapon will also get the bonus.

but the dagger perks do not apply on sword damage.
