And DAD has pulled ahead again. If this continues in to the night we have 2 days in a row where DAD begins to beat Dungeonborne numbers later in the day. What does this mean? Dungeonborne is more popular in Asian markets and its numbers drop off as they go to sleep?
Also note what the total player base for DnD was prior to the DB launch (over 50K or so offhand)... did DB attract more players to the genre (which is a good thing), or just siphon off DnD players checking out a new launch? If the two are just competing against each other, then from a marketing perspective, one of them should shift gears a bit to have a competitive edge (enter PvE die-hards lol).
Maybe f2p users are kids and have to go to bed. Probably not the craziest theory.

In the first result of the night Dark and Darker maintains a narrow lead.
I was considering this more as kids often tend not to have money and DB currently appeals more to F2P. Needing to go to bed at certain hours just also happens to coincide with that, though its summer vacation so maybe that doesnt apply as much.
Like, timezones do exist…
Really not sure why you keep bringing up “maturity” type topics though.
Timezones are a valid argument. If there is evidence to suggest its primary audience is Asia then that is probably more likely.
Im a little taken aback why the two of you seem to think kids and teens dont play games and arent part of this equation though. They absolutely are.
Like sure but they’re not the whole focus here.
Especially when you contradict yourself another paragraph in realizing its still summer time.
DaD has multiple platforms available to it making the player base much more larger.
Despite that DB is still plenty sizable.
But then theres time since release, seasons, features, etc.
The heck does age matter when anyone and everyone can play a free to play game?
DB current 26k
