I dont agree with this line, ive come to enjoy tracking down players, they leave behind clues in the form of dead mobs, open doors, looted chest etc. I am the hunter in this version of the game.
That aside, bring back circle! I didnt care for every map having the circle and i dont like how every map just deals damage to every player inside it near end of round, i want a mix of things damnit
some of the cons are that people used to hide in dark swarm indefinitely with alot of meds and camp an extract out there, it was even harder to find them back then.
and what comes to only portal extracts that it promotes certain kind of play and favors heavy frontal classes. you're forced to a small enclosed area to fight, but what if you play a class that requires kiting, or environment to succeed? like rogues, rangers or wizards they need room to operate, you can't make them push the portals which they have little chance in contesting.
i honestly hated it the most when last portals spawned in the small area and there was a barbarian standing there with their portal open and they would stand there until the last second of the map zone closing in, and they knew for sure that i can't push that given my class... sometimes i would just run into the swarm and die cos i refuse to deliver free loot for them, it was so frustrating.
