I've seen some people tossing around the idea of a Rogue "Toolbelt" of sorts, similar in function to how Casters/Bards work but with things like the Smokebomb and Caltrop skills along with several other unique tools in a tier system similar to casters.
That would go a long way towards giving Rogue an identity outside of being a landmine and would give it some modicum of value to a team via those utility tools.
can you not try poison build? or if you know how to space, you don't even need hide.
i run poison build with handcrossie and rapier, its so much fun.. add a bit of spacing and maybe tumble skill. you poke em once with rupture, then tumble, take some distance, repeat and don't allow them to heal. i call it the ''mosquito build'' its so funny.
General rule of thumb: If you take a dynamic where one person is having fun because hes beating another person, and you make it so the person winning is also not having fun, youve made sure nobody has fun in your game. Its not supposed to be homogenized.
Yea we gave your shaman lavaburst but actually lavaburst with a crit on every hit is bad so like now it does 30% less damage and its not even really a crit anymore. Have fun lavabursting. Oh wait thats a core move of your class and we just gutted it, please keep subbing
Yea we gave your class MS because it cant heal and its melee and plate but actually its unfair to rogues because they dont heal either (despite CC control) and its unfair to hunters because they cant heal either (despite pet distance control plus range) and something something mages cant stop all heals so mages get it too. Ohhhh nooooo why cant anyone heal anyone ever oh theyre all MSd because everyone has it.
Yea we gave your class a dispel but the other classes get sad when they cant dispell so were taking away your remove poison and remove disease because we need to distribute these remove spell abilities to more classes at your expense as the utility class were actually going to take like Bard songs and give them to rogues because rogues should also be utility everyone should be support its only fair. Also 40% of damage over time and debuffs will be un-removable just because its unfair if you actually dispel a spell with your dispel ability.
Nobody enjoyes lavabursting or being lavabursted against. Nobody enjoys MS or being MSd or healing an MSd target. Nobody likes being able to dispel only 60% of things, and rogues being a support class.

Put fun in your game, for one person of the 2. Then put more fun in the game, for the other person of the two. Now both people can have fun. Instead youve taken the fun away from everyone. Again to be clear. With this rogue nerf in D&D you forced people to stationary landmine 1 door never moving, which they absolutely hate and consider uninstall worthy gameplay despite it WORKING - and anyone they kill this way is going to be exceptionally mad, especially since you tried to balance it out of the game entirely. Everyones mad.
Btw the best advertisement videos for D&D on youtube, of the rogue class are where the guy stealths up to 3s and pickpockets them all without even fighting. Like where someone might see it and go wow that looks like a fun, funny game. Maybe I should try playing that. Thats not even possible anymore.
Oh yeah... Just be annoying and ♥♥♥♥ on them slowly while you kite them for like 2-4mins or so. You just play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ version of ranger. Congratulations, buddy
What about simply turning off as many torches as you can in a super huge area
i have 2 poison spell and passives + creep and stealth ! not the ♥♥♥♥♥ landmine. they RUINED MY style
and all others who loved land mine... rogue is now firced to play like fighter ! but its weaker :D
rogue had only an invis, they ♥♥♥♥♥ it up either ! creep is not silance footsteps WTFF
i have 2 poision spells and passives, i trash talk, i go invis, i get a kill with my dagger which just had a -5% armor pentration nerf as well :DDDD
now i CAN NOT WALK SILENTLY. i CAN NOT GO INVIS ! core rogue= invis
