Invasive Anti-cheat

When I heard and read on what the Anti-cheat system does. I ain't playing this.

Granted, many Anti-Cheat systems work in different ways (both negatively and positively), but this one reads all your files while pushing your system to the limit by overdoing and overloading your processors (ignoring frame-rate caps and going past it). However, I was not affected because of my updated and stronger hardware, but for me, it will shorten the lifespan of my components (already 3–5 years old), and it is worse for others, breaking their PCs that are either older or outdated in terms of quality and build.

In short, the Anti-Cheat system used here pushes and damages your system by using two applications named Tavern.exe and TavernWorker.exe (can be found in Dark and Darker game folders in Steam) on this gives you the indication of two running applications searching through your system and takes a picture of anything you do as well as reading everything stored.

This Anti-Cheat system, being intrusive to the point of valid concerns, is worth discussing and talking about. One thing is to search for any cheats, but reading every file and document on every drive you have on your PC during the whole session you play Dark and Darker is concerning".

I'm doing an investigation on this using IDA, but I would like to ask did you use any debugging software like Microsoft Sysinternals? i'm unable to use Sysinternals because I'm on Linux.

This anti-cheat isn't intrusive AT ALL. There's still tons of cheaters in the games and nobody getting banned. Valorant Anti Cheat is Intrusive. This anticheat isn't even kernel. Stop posting about fake stuff and lying when you clearly did ZERO research. one google search.

I've just been killed by a cheater who obviously managed to cheat the bracket system and bring several strong items into a -24 session. The guy killed half of the entire lobby.

So don't tell me about an intrusive anti-cheat system without providing verifiable sources, links and facts! In any case, the current anti-cheat system still doesn't work properly, as I just experienced first hand....

It's always strange that people say these things without being able to know what other people have brought in and what they had found during that session.

Then it's also very convenient that there's never a screenshot of this person existing, when you can always hit tab and see their gear score when you're spectating. This would be a very key bit of information that you *could* report properly in the discord.

You have real "stalker qualities". You should also have respect when someone decides to delete something. But yes, I can't expect much insight from someone who I rightly describe as toxic and wannabe know-it-all.

How did you know someone brought in "several strong items" into a sub 24 gear bracket when there is no way of knowing what someone brought in?
