How to add someone?

I'm having fun in the random match up sometimes and there are nice guy I would like to play again with, I can't add them based only on their class chara name nor they seems to never exist on the Players list.

Okay I should've ask them to go on the gathering all or to gimme their acc name but sometimes I forget, can't I add them simply based on my last game w them?

Do /w "Name" whatever their name was and ask them their account name maybe

You can only add friends via their account name, not the character name.

I'm not too sure about this one, but I think the player list search might work only on account names too.

If your teammates have enabled whispers from everyone (defaults to friends only), you could whisper them using their character name after the game asking for their account name. Just lookup their character name in the Karma menu and type "/w CharacterName message" in the chat. Your message will get sent if they are online (you will get an error if they are offline), however it will depend on their whisper privacy setting whether they see your message or not. Obviously you also need to enable whispers from strangers if you want to see their replies.

Adding a friend in this game always felt a bit weird/tedious/buggy.
