Only lets through in VPN, in the main launcher there is an error with the game version on the native IP

Hey I had this similar issue earlier. The two things I did to fix it were as such:
1. I installed on a different launcher and that worked. You might be able to get you platform link code before the game crashes and put that into the new launcher.
2. I deleted the singular file that was abnormal and booted up the game again. That fixed the problem for me.

What was the "singular file" that was abnormal?
And are you saying that either one of these things individually fixed the problem or the combination of the two?
