Shield specialist fighters getting crazy action speed after blocking an attack just to wallop you lightning fast.
No its just the longsword that needs a nerf because I got hit by a horizontal 2 tap I should have dodged, blocked, or eaten the hit to a part of the body that would have been significantly less and immediately lethal.
What a ride.
And yes, this two taps literally annihilate the armored units as like as they have no armor even in hand hit. Damage multi is too strong right now.
Really wanna see how you would kite\block as barb or cleric, ah, yes, it would be in lobby.
They don't learn either and it really shows there is nothing going on in the space between their ears,not a single thought behind those eyes.
You'd think that after the 3rd hit to the shins he would stop holding down right click but eh,they never learn.
So you fight against longsword guy perfectly, left him low hp ( after 4-5 strikes during long fight), and then opponent suddenly gets parry, deleting your "full hp" to abyss.
Imagine how this bul****t situation hurtful. After update, riposte damage multiplier doesn't even fit into the fight balance system (not only pvp, pve too).
P.S. longsword parry hitbox much better then hitboxes of all round shields block. And you can parry heavy attacks (even dealt by hammer, that is literally dev's joke).
Just learn how enemy's attack pattern works - then parry comes easy to do, especially when we talk about slower weapons then short sword.
Yeah this weapon led many people to question some game mecanics. Like why the right clic of this specific 2 handed is a block and not an alternative combo like most other 2 handed ?
And as the game is relatively simplistic, why allowing such powerful option ?
Frankly, its a skill issue.
As an example: In the rather poorly balanced hotfix before last, longsword ripostes were one of the few weapons with which you could successfully defend yourself against the “SuperMan” barbarians.
The longsword and its ripostes are strong, but still fair and counterable.
It sure is but why only this weapon ? Why not designing an axe and and a 2h hammer with the same option then ?
Barb got its share of exotic weapons like the felling axe which is good. But on the other hand the efficacy of the double edge axe is less obvious
Anyway, nothing to compare with a 2handed weapon allowing you to parry in a game where parrying is exclusively tied to shields (except longsword)

you ll be one shoted with 141 hp and 45 phys reduction and you say FAIR?
None of the weapons deal such damage, only longsword riposte, even Bardiche or Halberd, wich has slow and easy to read patterns.
