Regardless, the fact that there are quests that require player kills means people are going to target you even if you're just running or trying to play nice. My advice is to play defensively, if someone really pushes you then fight back, if not, live and let live. Also, never turn your back on someone even if they seem like they're you're pal.
Spent the rest of my playtime sitting on top of stairs, waiting for footsteps and jumping on dudes with pure malice. It feels cheap and it's less fun than a random team-up, but I'll just have to try nice tomorrow.
Alongside an arena, a dedicated PvE mode (it can have its own gear/progression or whatever idc) would be great. I'd play both.
It's 2024 which means no one can read nowadays.
