Altar of Sacrifice Quest

The Fortune Teller says to interact with a Altar of Sacrifice 3 times. I can't seem to figure out how to work or what they do. What are they used for and how can I complete this quest?

It's the table stone to revive an allie.
You need his heart to interact with it :)

EDIT: Altar of Sacrifices are in every map no matter the mode

I did the quest with my friend and we purposely killed ourselves in front of the altar for easy resurrections (just bring in basic kit)
