Dark and Darker

number of characters at once...
how many do you all try to balance and play at once? I feel like the quests are what's stopping me from running multiples. I wish it was account based. I know you can mule gear over... but it's just tedious and annoying. kind of is preventing me from switch around.

I have 2 main ones I play the most, and 2 others that I swap around depending on what my friends want to play. I agree the quests get to be a headache because I keep forgetting that my other characters need some of the items for the first couple quests.

Since my first character I don't really focus on quests though, I just let them complete naturally. This isn't as bad with the "visit location" or "kill x" but the items quests are the ones that I keep getting screwed on cause I keep forgetting lol

So why are you even asking? 1 character can craft everything for other characters and you can buy class specific gear from traders or market. The only reason you even want to do quests on other characters is for extra EXP to get to lvl 20 fast, but after there is little to no purpose and they can be ignored completely.

I play 2 classes regularly, and all of the others sporadically.

I don't find the inventory management to be too bad, although I was disappointed to discover that you can't buy a shared tab. My shared tab is mostly general equipment like pickaxes and surgical kits, quest items, and gold stacks. Having a little room to share equipment between characters is where I start bottlenecking... if only we could rotate gear, even if it was just in the stash, all of my Resident Evil 4 training would come in handy.

Typically, I find myself playing other classes when they have too much stashed gear. I gear them up, and even if I die I'm trading stash space for levels and experience with the class, so whatever
