Understanding Ruins and Crypts

Hey everyone just started playing the game about 2 days ago. Can someone explain how Crypt maps work. Is it a random draw on which one you get after map select? i have quests that need me to get dark magic library and stuff but I seem to always spawn in ruins not crypt

I don't know for certain but it seems to be a coin flip on the layout, unless it is decided when it rotates into the map or something.

Maybe somebody else will have a more concrete answer, but my experience so far is just a 50/50 shot.

Crypts is always Crypts. There are variations of it, and yea its RNG.

Ruins is an outdoor map not currently in circulation.

So then does Crypts have 2 maps and thats what RNG is? Im not seeing the map that pyramid and dark magic library are on. Am i just getting unlucky>?
