No Ring on map?

Isn't there supposed to be a ring on your minimap that tells you where locus swarm, ice blizzard and everything is?

Gone. May return for future maps/modes.

They removed it and replaced it with a timer that when it gets below a certain point, a bunch of fixed-location exits open up for extraction and then shortly after that the entire map starts hurting you until it just kills anybody remaining outright.

Urgency and forced fights are gone, just loot, run away from fights and extract. Ring made it a PvP battle royale, hopefully that's a mode they keep for high tiers but the main game is more chill now.

Would be nice for a new map if it is built with the circle in mind. More rounded and paths naturally flowing into the center with exits along the way but most in the center. My biggest annoyance with the circle was getting caught in the damn maze that is every map and having to back track through the storm because you took a wrong turn that looked like every other turn.
