I blame move speed being the stat to end all stats personally.

I love having the best armor in the game and watching others with no armor run away or kite around me with ease. Armor doesn't = invulnerability, and a backside bonus is exactly that.

I will agree though that there seems to be a disparity between how much armor one has (armor rating) and the actual amount of physical damage it reduces. Seems like the damage reduction is too low for heavier armor rating totals.

It's a bit more that they recently gave thrusting daggers Armor Penetration which is amplified by the higher DPS of the daggers.

This compounds with the move speed issue imo, making something that is both significantly faster than the targets as well as capable of punching through armor, which already is at a disadvantage due to being slower and easier to kite/outrun.

Yeah. Right now, speed is king. But even then, the speed difference between armored 290's and lighter 310+ isn't dramatic. Think for as fast as the attack speed rogue's have, maybe their weapon damage of the daggers could be lowered, or damage resist of armors increased, or both. Seems like it should take many hits to a heavily armored... but still, backstabbing is different as it implies "critical" hits in vulnerable areas of the armor.

yeah I agree rogues in a bad state rn, especially in solo no matter how cautious you are they could be sitting in literally any corner and once they come out of their invis its game over for you especially if they have extra dmg on every piece of armor

are we really complaining about the weakest class in the game?...

definitely not the weakest if we're talking about solo, duo or trio maybe but in solo rogue beats everyone else by far

I was thinking the same thing I can think of atleast 3 if not 4 classes I'd rather die IRL than have to see one more time in the game and rouge just isn't one of those classes... I don't even think I've fought a rouge in a long time so there can't be that many people maining one
it just sounds like you met your counterpart and you aren't smart enough to deal with it.

That is highly incorrect. They have little bit of burst damage, and some armor shred but any half aware barb or fighter will two, if not one shot them.

you might be surprised but rogue is the 3rd worst class right now, followed by ranger then wizard. they need gear and armor pen, a dagger with weapon damage is 800 gold one with pen is 800 gold want both 2k+

Try playing a rogue yourself and you'll realize a successful assassination requires a perfect execution within the right circumstances/environment and a lack of awareness on your target's part. If a rogue makes 1 mistake and gets caught he usually ends up dead. When other classes can make mistakes and have an easy out button. A druid or warlock will just use phantomize/dream walk/animal form.
Also it's one of the most expensive classes to build properly for assassinations. Decent pieces with the important stats like true phys, armor pen, additional phys go for at least 500/600 just for blues. Not even mentioning decent weps.

I caught a rogue with their pants down and started throwing party tricks as a wizard :auyay:
