I will agree though that there seems to be a disparity between how much armor one has (armor rating) and the actual amount of physical damage it reduces. Seems like the damage reduction is too low for heavier armor rating totals.
This compounds with the move speed issue imo, making something that is both significantly faster than the targets as well as capable of punching through armor, which already is at a disadvantage due to being slower and easier to kite/outrun.
Yeah. Right now, speed is king. But even then, the speed difference between armored 290's and lighter 310+ isn't dramatic. Think for as fast as the attack speed rogue's have, maybe their weapon damage of the daggers could be lowered, or damage resist of armors increased, or both. Seems like it should take many hits to a heavily armored... but still, backstabbing is different as it implies "critical" hits in vulnerable areas of the armor.
I was thinking the same thing I can think of atleast 3 if not 4 classes I'd rather die IRL than have to see one more time in the game and rouge just isn't one of those classes... I don't even think I've fought a rouge in a long time so there can't be that many people maining one
That is highly incorrect. They have little bit of burst damage, and some armor shred but any half aware barb or fighter will two, if not one shot them.
Hide stab win EZ
Also it's one of the most expensive classes to build properly for assassinations. Decent pieces with the important stats like true phys, armor pen, additional phys go for at least 500/600 just for blues. Not even mentioning decent weps.
I caught a rogue with their pants down and started throwing party tricks as a wizard
