Then stop scaring new people away, we need "new blood" from time to time, traumatizing timmies only makes this game more niche and scare away people that would otherwise maybe stuck around.

It doesnt help the games had horrible maintenance schedules, constant crashes, server connection issues, and now apparently wont even give you red shards you purchased.

If its any comfort, stomping Tommy's is kind of frowned upon by the community. It's the reason normal mode was added. Higher bracket normals was only a thing since few weeks ago, because the stream of negative reviews and posts that the f2p was a scam and new players wanted to use their better gear. Now it's probably the most played mode even for early adopters.
The general consensus is that the community wants to be welcoming to new players since it hit Steam.

And that's probably because every other game that does go all psycho on its new players historically murders its own playerbase before too long.

Dark and Darker seems like an odd case since I've never seen the amount of effort in trying to NOT pubstomp a game's population to dead applied to any other game, which is unique to say the least.

I usually try and help someone fight the mobs if they're fighting them since I'm so bad at the pvp. Though that usually gets me killed still.
I've had those kill player quests for like 60+ hours at this point.

Yes, this is what I mean, gear level is irrelevant because people with high skill level will go and hunt timmies for fun

To me this killing a new player is the same level of joy as killing a goblin, almost inexistant and even makes me feel bad

To the high level pvp warrior it's 3 seconds of "fun"

To the timmy it's possibly what makes them uninstall the game.

Please be nice with new players guys, you'll have more fun having a geared battle with someone that has learned the game than the people still figuring out stuff
