Ranger have no any spear

I choose perk for spear, but vendors and start equip list have no spears. How does that work?
Is it spears locked for low (for my 27??) level / it's game bug / vendors need hours days to update their lists?

You need to increase standing with the weapon master above zero to have the spear in your starting loadout. Check his quests.

completing quests from the merchants will give you more starting gear options from the squire in time, so you will get to take a spear with you for every match as long as you have unlocked it

from what ive read, quests from specific merchants upgrade your starting gear according to the merchants specialty, ie armorsmith for plate armor, weaponsmith for weapons
but not all quests give you an immediate upgrade and i couldnt find any specifics which quest unlocks what

in any case, keep doing quests
