Two of them effect Arcane damaging spells...but there's only Magic Missile, there's a perk dedicated exclusively to giving Icebolt a small root because there are no other ice damage spells, The 2 Fire Perks only effect Fireball, Explosion and the burn damage of Zap.
Hell two of the perks are specifically designed to trigger when the Wizard is hit and getting hit is the last damn thing any Wizard ever wants to have happen.
If there's any reason why Warlock is a stronger all-around class than Wizard it's Wizard's perk suite being just so...awkward for the spell list Wizards currently have.
I don't really get why Wizards get punished that hard in PvE when (mini)bosses aside a Ranger can kill things and recover arrows faster even with the Projectile resistance and no need to meditate.
I really do fear what Sorcerer is going to do to Wizard's already low play rate if it somehow winds up being better for PvE while still being comparable at PvP (sans buff spells).
Playing with a team can increase your skill level as you learn.
