How about you go play mordhua.
Oh that's right because it's dead due to its combat being so brutal to new and casual players that no one wanted to stick it out unless they dump all their time into it. Then we got dark and darker buttery looking ass here with clunky simple controls and easy to pick up mechanics.
Ur bad👍
i just like skill based games.
Mordhau? You mean the game with an average of 1-2k players? That never seems to gain or hold pop? That game?
You do realize those hardcore PVP medieval games always die right? War of the roses anyone?
Nobody enjoys fighting against spinning ballerinas as a newb, Dark and darker combat is simple and clunky sure.
But its easy for newbies to learn the basic concepts and have a fighting chance against (most) of the playerbase, elite players will stink dunk on you, but the skillgap isnt such a chasm that you get insta'd all the time
Well those games arent exactly...dificult as far as melee goes, they are more about dodging and blocking directionally, and spamming attacks.
Dark and darker has a (rare) true block system, wich isnt seen in most games. With all blocks or parries having true hitboxes, hell npc archers can hit you through tiny gaps in walls.
If you mean with shields its easy, just swing your shield in the direction the strike is coming, if overhead it might help to kneel, also make sure to not be kissing your oponent, as the strike may go through.
If we tak about the sword, similar idea, but more thin parry area, so you gotta be really precise and quick.
Basically blocking on Tide is like a barrier infront of you, blocking here- is the shield, just the shield, the hitbox of the shield itself, your legs, head. Still visible.
Angle shield upward to cover your head when walking, kneel to cover your legs-etc
