Parry doesn’t belong in the game
It’s basically and I win button vs melee classes. When the game has such shallow combat mechanics it feels pretty bad.

You don’t have to be that accurate to parry. It’s super easy to pull off and the reward is basically a guaranteed kill. Parry itself wouldn’t be a problem if all weapons had it and if there were options against it other than being a ranged class or hoping they are bad. Add a kick, shield bash and stab so there is a tiny bit of depth to the mechanics of the game so the whole game doesn’t boil down to..

1.Gear
2. Counter pick balance
3.Positioning
Parrying is one of the hardest mechanics in the game

that's because the game has almost no expression with mechanical skill lol.

Sorry armor doesnt work anymore due to armor pen homogenization so fighters will need parry.

We need more mechanics like parrying and less stat checking, like cleric/bard

I agree but parrying should be based on timing like in games like Mordhay and Chivalry and not just you turtling with it and then looking down or jump if people try to go for your legs.

Unfortunately, devs have 0 competence to balance the game, i enjoy playing with the longsword, but in high roller matches, it's impossible to use it against other players, everybody is spamming warlock/bard/ranger you can't even land a single hit because of the move speed, the only viable strategy to a fighter is to play like a ranger.

I wish chivalry or mordhaul devs created a medieval extraction game

Same haha. This game has too much cheese and hard counter stuff for it to be long term viable. With how they balance the game it's either deathball comps or ranged kiting comps. Very annoying gameplay. I love the idea of the game though. Having it be hard pick and gear balanced sucks the joy out of it. When you die to something dumb like a hunter trap in the dark ( because most of the map has ink black shadows 3 feet from a torch) because you just solo'd 6 players and are running to extract as AI chases you feels so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. Especially with how slow healing is now. I hate how harcore just = tedious in many game devs balancing decisions.

mordhau actually had a BR game mode for a while but it was terrible and they didn't really put much effort into it.
