Ranger skill imbalance?
I am new to D&D and have been trying the classes. I went from fighter to rogue to ranger, and the rangers' abilities feel a bit silly in comparison.

Comparing shield bash to the rogue bleed, it's the same ballpark; you get 20 dmg in both cases on an active ability. Fair enough. Rangers, on the other hand, get several abilities that give higher fire rates or shoot several arrows at once; these all do a lot more than 20 dmg but are being held to the exact same cooldowns.. Why?

Even the passives are out of whack, 15% headshot damage & draw speed is crazy compared to "get 2 dmg and 5% action rate but only while using swords".

Why the massive disparity?

Fighter and Rogue abilities are hard to miss since its close range. Ranger Abilities have to be aimed and are not that hard to dodge or get blocked by Pillars/Walls ect. Ranger also has to reload. A fighter has no need to reload and neither does the Rogue. Not a Ranger Player here btw.

I love when people seek "equality" and end up breaking a finely tuned system to be even less balanced.

I dunno if it's so finely tuned when the common opinions are "rogue offers nothing to groups and rangers are top tier", etc. etc.

This is a massive cope lol. You can dodge attacks and are at a masssive risk every time you get into CQC of being 1-2 shot. You move slow AF with weapon out too. This game has made it way too easy to kite. The whole game is kite or if melee wait for triple buff l rush or hide and wait.
