Dark and Darker

Double N'wah Jun 23, 2024 @ 3:41pm
limited spellcasts
Started in a room with a whole bunch of spider pots, and large spiders and death beetles. Ate up all my charges for every single spell because I couldnt find all the pots with the large spiders on me. Then I had to run around a room cycling chicken and rat over and over and over for 8 minutes before I finally went human and opened a door, only to be killed by the stuff on the other side. Running out of spells and never regenerating is garbage.

You cant do that with infinity spiders and death beetles on you, and no spells to fight them back with 20% hp. To be clear the spiders do not stop spawning until you find the pots to destroy, I hit like 3 but couldnt find the 4th.

If Its Normal Spiders, They Cant Hit You If You're Sitting On Top Of Their Spawn Pot.
Also, You Can Buy Clarity Potions - If You Arent Good At Spell Management Yet.
It was a mix of tiny infinite white spiders, and multiple medium size spiders, along with flying death beetles and later even a mage who closed the door behind him that I couldnt fight. Just a whole lot of running around for 8 minutes which is... bad.. gameplay.

No I was fighting stuff and it never stopped because the spiders do not stop spawning and to kill the pots you have to aggro more stuff. This was entirely unavoidable as I spawned in that room and it was the first pull. I had good gear on, probably 150 GS. Im set up for heal, moonfire, treeants, walls and barkskin. All went to 0 charges.

If You're Running Around For 8 Minutes, You're Doing Something Wrong - No One Else Is Doing That. XD
Youre just trolling. Thanks for recognizing you cant fight back without spells as a caster. I was waiting for the rope to come so I could leave with an empty inventory and keep my stuff.

Yeah, Goblin Caves in particular is a dungeon that heavily punishes panic and tunnel vision.

You can't just run into a room or else you'll aggro everything in it, and that's a fast path to death in any dungeon.

Gotta take it slow, methodical, stick to the walls to avoid the aggro ranges of things in the middle of the room, and if all else fails just leave the room, close the door behind you and find another path.

I'm Not Trolling, I'm Literally Trying To Help You Recognize Your Mistake Or Offer Advice.
I've Been In That Room, It's Got A Rope Escape - I Didnt Have To Run Around In Circles For 8 Minutes, I Pulled Stuff Slowly And Easily.

Look Up Clarity Potions, Then Try Again.
75 IQ, you fail the breakfast question.

It spawned 4 pots and each one you destroy aggros more spiders with a different pot. Along with several larger spiders, and it simply ate all the treeant charges and heals and moonfires and walls and barkskins leaving me with ~10-20% hp.

edit: and heal and protection potions etc

So what you learned here, is that if you are in a situation where stuff is spawning infinitely, you leave the room and shut the door behind you before you run out of spells, then find a location to rest and recover your spell slots.

Learning when to ♥♥♥♥ off because the situation is out of your control is part of the game.

You went from one of the easiest solo classes to one of the hardest because of spell management jsyk

You're not but you want to win an internet argument so you'll say you are anyway lol

I'll do you a favor and tell you "I look forward to when you make a thread complaining about how hard it is to consistently do the music mini game while being attacked repeatedly and how frustrating it is to have to constantly micromanage buffs that leave you incredibly vulnerable during the recast period" so that when you feel the need to make that thread too you remember I said you would and you'll refuse to do it out of spite.

Have fun, Bard rules.

"This guy is clearly trolling" he says as he refuses to take any advice because he just wants to be told that druids suck.
All you have done here is show us that we should ignore you if you have another problem.

Nah this includes cleric and mage too although mages get meditate but that still wouldnt have saved it in the OP scenario.
