for items go through the legendaries and see.
if you play with a wiz he can cast Invis on you. I've saved my rogue friends more times than I've saved myself.
play a decent amount of rogue-wiz in duos and it feels quite strong. all wiz buffs are much stronger on rogue than any other class but a decent wiz is very hard to find. it's the least popular class in the game by far and most that do play it are quite bad
I know it's a bit more complex than that but you get what i mean. People don't play wizard because the idea of a wizard casting offensive spells that we all have when we imagine a magician "doesn't work" in this game.
Pretty much like if it was wrong to play a 2 handed barbarian or a bowman ranger. Like.. It's the very essence of the archetype in every game since the very first edition of Dungeon and Dragon.
I've seen excellent wizs that go Light Orb when they play 5 spell. would I do that? no. but that wouldn't make me call them bad.
hell, I've seen a wiz solo a barb in a head-to-head melee battle with Ignite and Arcane Shield using a Rondel Dagger + Orb after just a single Zap and then go on to 1v2 and entirely different team. not my playstyle but it works for him.
I've never been called a bad wiz for my spell selection. I haven't been called a bad wiz yet, period. but there's plenty of time for that (:
