Dark and Darker

Wizard needs a heep of work. Here are some ideas I have been thinking of.
TELEPORT: It might be an OP spell, but the way i see it. If wizard gets jumped on, that five second invisibility is not going to do much if they are already wacking you.
ICE WALL: Druid already has a thorn wall. give wizard a variant that slows.
FAMILIARS {Talent}: Give them a choice between a pet that can hold a spell that can be homed in with the pet itself. but the pet can die if it is hit. takes a rest to get the pet back.
CONFUSION: switch around a players keys for like 3 seconds. Hilarious and meta building all on it's own.
TIME STOP {Talent}: Holds as a buff that lasts for however many seconds and if someone hits you while you are holding a cast. They are time stopped for a couple seconds. Truly a great defensive measure that would allow invisibility to have a chance for you to run.

Any one else have some ideas they wish to thrown down on this list? All open to hear them out. Maybe the devs will see this and take a few of the ideas for the game.

Zero complaints here! This game is CLEARLY inspired by D&D, and the Wizard is the most versatile spell caster. They have access to nearly all spells. Barring healing magic. But, even that is undone with Wish.

I think Wall of Force, or better yet, Wall of Fire would be better in place of Wall of Ice. (Actually, I don't recall Wall of Ice being a non-homebrew spell. >.>)

Oh man. Timestop though? That'd be a sexy spell. For 6 seconds, a 10 foot AoE is frozen in place, unable to take any actions. Yes please.

Apparently next class is Sorcerer and it appear Wizard is more of a support class in comparison to that i'm sure the devs will tweak Wizard when Sorcerer is out at least.

I get that designing melee classes is a bit more nuanced that casters, but really? Another caster?

Paladin is after at least apparently. I mean i guess there is alot of Casters in the DND cast.

Ahh so they are trying to 1:1 the DnD character pool

That does explain the lack of a polearm focused footman class, kinda the backbone of any feudal army.

I hope that is the case! Monk would be an awesome character as well. Ugh! This game has so much damn potential. I really hope they don't drop the ball.

I went for wall of Ice due to their being like one ice spell currently in the wizard's arsenal.

Understandable. I think a better ice spell would be Cone of Cold though.

Edit: I think Ice Bolt should be altered into Ray of Frost. A constant low source of DPS/Slow

they don't need to change Ice Bolt to RoF, they just need to add RoF and other ice spells. it doesn't make sense that they added Ice Mastery and there's only 1 ice spell, yet they haven't given us a Light Mastery.

Ice Mastery is realistically only viable with Spell Overload in my opinion

ya, or like a Blizzard spell. honestly, any additional ice spells would be appreciated just so we can have more options and builds to play.

then again even some of the spells we have already like Lightning Strike aren't implemented properly

Agreed. There's a lot of tweaking that needs to be done. But the potential is definitely there. I have nothing but high hopes.

I hope there never will be a flat out "support class". All classes should have build variety. Even a Cleric, who you'd think would be the support class, can go the Dark Cleric route and be just as competent of a Necromancer as a Wizard could be. Hell, even stronger in some circumstances.
