Why are there so many cheaters??

Anytime I find decent gear or spawn in with decent gear, the cheaters always use ESP and just 2 shot me while invisible.
Is there any anticheat in this game at all?
The player Me0wme0wmeow is a disgraceful cheater and I dont understand how someone who is walking through walls isnt banned yet.

There are definitely cheaters. Cheats have been out for the game since the play tests. Every game has cheaters

For sure. I encountered one sus guy while playing so far. There's just no possible way he could have known where I was. Didn't have potions on my belt, and haven't even really done anything inside the dungeon yet, including killing any enemies. But, this Barb comes barging into the room I'm in and makes a beeline straight to the small cubby I'm crouching in and blasts my rectum into oblivion. I was baffled to say the least.

Ever since these so called gearscore cheaters have been being called out, I've been systematically checking everyone's gear, and I haven't found anyone breaching the 24 gearscore limit yet. Not saying it isn't possible, but it certainly isn't as common as people make it out to be.

Edit: Even now that I think about it, there's still a non cheater explanation. He simply knew the spawn points. I spawned in the wolf room on the ice map, and hadn't moved out of my spawn yet. But, the Barbarian seemed to know I was already there. His menacing grin, as he shattered my frail Wizard body in a matter of seconds. I will never be able to forget that trauma.

I'ts not hard to find proof of cheats in dark and darker, just google image search for it and you'll see them. I saw pictures of ESP during the play tests.

It is possible that guy knows the spawns, i do too, and i have done that exact thing. Rush the spawn to kill players, mainly because the less people in the match the less likely i am to see others in hell. It's a strat.

I have been on the end of ESP hackers too, i was 2 rooms away faintly hearing a guy kill mobs (barb). I made next to no noise, went invis in a corner as a rogue, about 15 seconds later he ran through both rooms, straight up to me. No possible way to know where i was

I don't doubt it. ESP would be the easiest one to implement and be hardest to get solid proof of.
