Lol.
Dungeonborne though, which is due to enter final playtest in 2 weeks, is made by the actual games developers and has character customization. I suggest checking it out if you want game like DaD but with actual features.
It used to have to be paid for. It only recently went free
... and? That doesn't change anything about my statement. This isn't a finished product, wondering why its not a fished product or complaining... is like I mean its absurd. You learn to not do this as a toddler.
Its like you would have to hate everyone who has ever cooked for you because, you wanted food, why wasn't it immediately all food the exact stuff you wanted? Why did they have to cook! why did it have to have ingredients and take time and thought? Why isn't it always all just for me?!?
I dunno why you spend your time promoting a rip off game in these steam discussions. Dungeonborne looks trash anyway
If Dungeonborne comes out and blows Dark & Darker out of the water then that's great for Dungeonborne, it means Mithril Interactive saw the explosive popularity of Dark & Darker which did the "fantasy extraction dungeon crawler" idea before anybody else, and decided to do what they could to iterate and improve on the formula, and it will give Ironmace the type of healthy competition they need to ensure their game can be as good as it can be. However, Dungeonborne is very, very clearly leaning way heavier in to the hero shooter style of class design where everybody gets big flashy animations and attacks and "moves" which is fine but I prefer the much more mellow approach that Dark & Darker uses, where it feels less like first person Diablo and more like Chivalry with some magic. I've seen big plate armor wearing not-vikings doing the Demacia Spin literally thousands of times at this point. A painfully slow moving sword and a regular ass fireball that takes an hour and a tax accountant to cast is a refreshing break from that visual noise.
Plus, since you want to bring up Nexon, I'm sure Ironmace would have Dark & Darker a fair bit farther along if they didn't have to deal with the fact that the corpo filth at Nexon decided to sue because they thought nobody else had to right to use the same stock assets they bought a license to use lmao
Have you actually played any of the Dungeonborne playtests?
Dungeonborne is gonna be a pay to play game. So yeah, they probably will.
Everything about it looks cheesy.
One of your excuses for DaD being bad is they bought Unreal store assets. Well looks like Dungeonborne is doing the same huh? The exact same Cyclops that DaD uses from the Unreal store. The gothic catherdral map, whatever it is called is pieced together from the Unreal store. The mimics are also from the store, aswell as the gold chest called "Marvelous chest" in DaD

The animations, damage numbers, white lines across the screen for no reason when attacking, the UI.....everything just looks cheesey
Yes it does change your statement, because it was paid for by several people. And part your point was
And they asked a genuine question, they didn't ask why it's not finished lots of games that are unfinished have customization and we don't know if the devs are even planning to add them. Also your example is garbage and all over the place.
