So whats the benefit of getting affinity for merchants like treasurer?

Obvious the main reason for affinity is for the better base gear. But the treasurer has non. Is there something that opens up in his services?

As far as i know, Nothing. It might be a place holder, it might be an oversight.

Affinity unlock craftings.

Some of them, like Weaponsmith and Tailor, once you reach 25 affinity will expand your choice of starting gear when you go to the Squire.
