How are you supposed to play a Druid?

Their human form is weak, the big ♥♥♥♥ bear form is slow, and the panther doesn't do a lot of damage. How am I supposed to play this?

use treants they have 4 charges and they can solo win pretty much vs 2 goblins, also heal by full with 2 spells, gain charges through rest (G button), or with campfire ( a lot faster, by full)

you need to run shapeshift mastery in every build, so you can switch between forms instantly. also important to note that forms scale with different stats. bear needs strength, druid needs agility. check out jaygriffyuh, promoz or poshypop on youtube. they play druid at a high level and offer a lot to learn! druid is not weak.

This is actually terrible advice, the only reason shapeshift mastery exists is to jump through doors in rat form. Youd be much better off with a different ability.

Fun fact shapeshift continues to cast while moving. It takes about 0.5 seconds, and the ability does next to nothing. Especially in anything focused on dreamstate/caster/treants/walling. No you dont use SSM for that.

5 damage to attackers, thorns is better than SSM.

So the rat and chicken form are always good for for mobility and stealth regardless of gear score, but at low gear scores you're better off clubbing or stabbing people to death instead of catting or bearing because the animal forms have such a low baseline for damage. They get better when your stats start hitting the 30+ range. Treant is decent for interference and Nature's Touch is basically a rechargeable healing potion.
