Trouble Finding Rare Weapons for Weaponsmith

Title, pretty much. What's the best way for me to find rare weapons? It seems like I'm never coming across them at all.

It's taken me hours to just find 5 of them, so it's just a huge crapshoot sadly.

Best advice I can give is to invest in some Luck potions from the Fortune Teller and run solo rat <25GS runs.

Know what to look for and where to loot, boxes and barrles surpsingly drop great stuff, at least better than any Oak Chest. Look for reinforced chests or gold chests as those are the best. Otherwise luck potions and if you are level 20 luck pendants or rings. You can actually get a ring and a pendant on green rarity with luck and use them with your gray gear from base kit and not go over 24 gear score. Combine that with a luck potion and you get get over 100 luck easily.

lion head chests and golden locked chests are your best bet, unfortunately you gotta do homework to know where they are in each map, i suggest you start learning goblin caves or crypt ice caverns are brutal specially if you run rogue with pick lock perk

Do 1 HR run and you most likely will have enough from just looting chests

If you want to speedrun this, do note that you can use franciscas and throwing daggers for that quest and these are very common drops from death skulls and come in pairs

que ice caves solo on a rogue and run for the pyramid, 8 times outta ten there will be a weapon in the ice block in the middle, most of the time blue too. just run in dodge the archers and grab the weapon then repeat the dodges to get out. invis as you reach a door and wait a second or two for ai to lose aggro then find an exit and turn off all the lights. you can put the found rare weapon in your shared storage if you have it and turn it in on any character

if ur ftp, get in a team with atleast one bard and ask them to run the lockpick song. then hit some gold chests and do the same, go to an exit and turn off the lights and hide till leave time

HR is a good advice, for some reason PvP is not as common on HR as on Normals, maybe cause it gives less points than if you would kill mobs and open chests in that time, so its even not that rare to see someone kill a boss and allow others to go loot the gold pile behind the boss as its infinite looting.

The more likely reason PvP isn't as common in HR as normals is because there's no F2P players in HR for people to stomp with impunity, meaning that anyone who goes into HR has bought the game and likely is more invested in actually being good at PvP.

But that's just my guess.

Ice Caverns has a 100% chance drop of a blue item in the pyramid room, i don't think its always a weapon though.
