If you don't think you would be good remember to use some spells on the fly in the raids go fighter, can't go wrong. Use the squire to change your loadouts and bring in some heals.
I love playing rogue but I have to disagree. I would recommend a martial melee class like fighter or barbarian. Rogues die fast and need a lot of hit and run or being tricky. Maybe not a very good straightforward starter.
It's solid and reliable don't get me wrong, but the moment you run into a player with range and a faster move speed than you there's not much you can do about that.
Especially Warlocks...good lord I *$#&ing hate how Warlocks get damage, moderate speed and self-healing.
