Also Master Duel's F/L list is based on the OCG and that's literally a meta where you reserve about 9 slots of your deck to the Maxx C meta so it's no wonder that a lot of people bounced off of it imo.
The loot drops are not as good, which means buying luck potions would be ideal, but it at least lets you level to 15 more easily to fully use character and then gives you a chance to find items to bring into standard play, where PvP is the most common.
that also gives you a chance to get gold to buy items on marketplace at level 20.
It is hard to hoard gold when you die often from players, just saying.
Players usually "hear" other players before they actually "see" them, but I get the OP's point on this regardless.
For the devs, it may not hurt to try introducing a DLC for $5 or so just for PvE and see how much revenue is made on that alone.
Alas, like the aforementioned two, I am okay with never playing this game if PvE will never be a thing
Pve is the way to go .. just use an Ai for the NPC´s for both voice acting and combat and not even a cheater would be able to defeat it if it is set to highest performance ..
PVE is the way .. pvp gets boring as hell over time ..
