I don't want to be forced to play PVP, other than that I'm so honest and I'm bad at it =) so I avoid games where you have to do PvP.
If the game only brings in a PVE mode at some point, I will definitely play it.
What makes your desire to not get PvPed in a PvP centric game more important than the people who want to PvP’s desire to PvP in the PvP centric game?
Who cares if somebody just wants to be the game’s super villain and hunt down and kill other players just because they can? Their desire to do that is just as valid as your desire to not have that happen to you, the problem is that the game as it currently exists favors the PvPers, heavily so. Sure Ironmace might make a dedicated PvE only mode in the future, but right now that doesn’t exist, and you are making the conscious choice to play the PvP centric game only to then get mad that people are doing PvP in it.
It would be like you playing League of Legends, getting in to a match, and then just roaming around the jungle killing camps and getting upset when an enemy player attacks you because you feel entitled to play a certain way the game just doesn’t support.
By all means, advocate for a PvE mode, I wouldn’t mind seeing one for those that want it post-Early Access. But this mental gymnastics of “I’m coming in to a PvP game notorious for its PvP made popular because of its PvP by content creators who do PvP and then when I get PvPed I’m going to cry on the forums about how people are evil stinky poo poo heads for PvPing me” is actually insane.
People who want the type of PvP experience Dark and Darker offers have Dark and Darker. You can just go play something else if you don’t like that those people are also playing the game.
But as it was said, it's a small time, for now it's best for them if they keep a short loop and make it work. But after release, if the game is successful enough, one can still hope for more game modes.
I play PvE SoT because i love the game. not to complete tall tales. Some of us like playing games with friends, and have fun. A fun experience doesn't have to involve PvP. Your opinion isn't the same as everyone else's, so don't pretend you are the only one with a valid opinion.
Come up with something valid to add to the conversation or just don't say anything. Just "No" means you have an opinion, congratulations. Everyone has one and all of them (including mine) stink to someone. Thanks for having no input lol
I disagree, with the amount of extraction games both releasing with pve or adding pve modes after years, game developers are realizing that some players don't play games to dip their balls in someone else's mouth. I hate to break it to you, but PvP isn't the only way people like to play games. that's a troll mentality. so thanks for your feedback, it's been promptly noted and ignored to those it offends.
totally agree that i'd like a seperate mode and loot pool. hell, the AI could get better too, or change some damage settings. I just want to play a dungeon crawler like this with friends. Most people getting hard for pvp are just lonely, miserable bullies who think their life is measured by how many people they can tea bag in one day.
that's not the world we live in anymore.
pve would get boring very fast since nothings changing there just the same mobs with their same 2 attack patterns
