While cool for progression, it kinda makes twinking quite easy no?
Sorry I don't know what twinking means, but if you mean overpowered compared to fresh players, not really as the gear stops at common rarity, white
Dunno, some of the base white variant upgrades are really good even without the green buffs
A morningstar for Cleric with the armor pen + blunt perk is already really good, and if a green item just and just puts you over 25 it doesn't seem worth it to need to put better armor on
I'm having a blast, personally.
Dunno
Currently trying out Warlock at a 11 gearscore with 145 armor rating
Falchion/Shield and a 30 damage Staff
Since for some reason it doesn't exclude Barbarian plates which don't have as much negative movespeed since the class itself is already at a -ms, you can multiclass into a stat brick with not much of a consequence.
And with 11 gearscore at base it leaves room for a good green weapon upgrade
If the Squire can get me any closer to a setup like that for no exchange other than quest progression, it's a huge leap compared to the people I'm being matched with already.
The green items in my inventory are not that good of an upgrade to jump me up to 110+ gearscore matches
Sure green and blue items might be statistically better by a small margin, but stacking even a couple of those and you're not even being matched with me anyways lol
I have dropped people with blues/purples with greens/whites, TL'DR skill matters a lot more.
Gear makes everything easier sure, but if you get outplayed, or make a missplay, no amount of uniques are gonna save you if the enemy exploits it.
Yeah I do like the fact that you can actually approach each match with an actual build
A lot of the extraction genre just outright removes the progression from you and resets your playstyles
And it is really easy to get going with a twink setup, so it is balanced around a kingslayer aspect when you find another player minmaxing to gearscore 24
For a whopping +11 gearscore I get:
+2 Armor
+1 Agility
+2 Physical Power
Say I equip that and a weapon, I'm already at the +25 power bracket
With such minute upgrades it most definitely is not worth it before you get a full gear set of each tier
Whooptedoo, I could have what? +21-30 stats which is big, or never have to be matched against those people and just abuse the base stats from grey gear until I can vendor myself to a high-roller run
Note, it doesn't even account character level, so I can get free +3 perk slots and higher tier spells against complete newbies
