Any tips or a known guide for beginner F2P WARLOCKS
Title says it all, have pretty much nothing in my stash and was wondering what spells are worth rolling early on w/ no gear, and general tips.

Thanks ahead of time!:jawatongue:

Curses with 20% healing and fire walking I have had a lot of success with. True strike damage that heals with melee is nice for PVE. But work those curses and you can destroy some folks all the while healing

As somebody who plays 95% warlock in my 350 hours. Torture mastery perk with curse of pain and power of sacrifice give you alot of healing per target cursed. Either firewalk or Hellfire for zoning off a hall way/breaking a door. Bolt of darkness for a decent range attack.
Falchion and shield are great early on, later i use kris dagger and crystal ball at the same time. Blow of corruption is great.

Power of sacrifice is only for PvE right? If i cast this in party enemy will kill us with buff xD Also Bold of darkness is like 20 dmg... when 1 swing of sword is 30 or more. Does ppl rly play with gear? I see everywhere you should only play <25gs even as good player.

i started with warlock for 40 lvls, deleted it though eventually, i liked hellfire spell the most, it damage mobs aoe a lot, be careful to use it though because it can hurt you.

ah, this post was 5 days ago, whatever.

I'm new so i have my questions:

"Dark Reflecton (for more dps) "- not better malice? If something hits me 2-3 times im dead anyway

"Spells:
SUMMON HYDRA (to pull PVE aggro, BLOCK DOORWAYS and deal damage, PLUS YOU CAN SAP THEM FOR HP)" - without items you are not healing self too much... its like 10HP more or smth

"Then, as you gain Knowledge points from gear, our other spells open up
- Bolt of Darkness (good ranged dps)" - its like 20 damage... and without items u can only cast 3 spells or u are lucky in dungeon and can 2 more.

"If you REALLY want to take this build to the next level, make sure you have at least 5 or more "Magical Healing" on your gear, stack enough Knowledge to have immediate access to all your spells, Will for more damage/duration and have as much movement speed as you can. If you can't bring good gear with you, just prioritize those things throughout your run and you'll get stronger and stronger as you go." - When i should go geared? Like lvl100? more?

Warlock truly is extremely versatile and can pretty much fill any playstyle you want it to, or blend between different ones. It is very forgiving in many ways but can also cost you if you misplay. No single build or perk/skill setup reigns supreme and mostly comes down to the current meta; overall I would suggest new players try to master melee combat including but not limited to: distance management, swing timing, counterstriking, dodging. Etc.

Once you master the melee combat you should have all the tools for ranged fights covered.
Just remember Bloodstained Blade and Power of Sacrifice for Longsword riposte is the only way to truly become the chosen one
