You have a 4090 and a 13th gen Intel processor (a few 14th gen also have the problem)? This is a known problem with ALL Unreal Engine 5 (and some 4) games which requires you underclock or undervolt your CPU in the BIOS. It's a stupid workaround, but Intel has acknowledged the issue. A quick Google will confirm this and show you how to set it based on different mobos.

If you don't feel like doing that add "-dx11" to the launch perimeters without the quotes. That alone has helped some people, but you are likely having crash to desktop, out of memory issues, etc. in other Unreal Engine 5 games (Helldivers, etc) if that's the case. I was pissed to find out my new PC was crashing and ran stuff worse than my old one after upgrading.

That's pretty weird, I'll try to find a workaround, thank you

Yup. If you DO have problems with other games, I highly recommend reading up on how to underclock your CPU in the BIOS. I haven't noticed performance issues in any game I run (still max) it runs MUCH cooler on my CPU, and I eliminated crashes in a dozen other games.
seriously? I should degrade my PC performance to run some indie game? Thanks, but no thanks.

Helldivers work fine, BTW.

The statement comes from Epic Games. That statement was for all unreal 5 games.
