Extraction Change

Do you like or dislike the new extraction system with the ropes and staircases, or do you prefer the old portals spawning randomly with the ring closing in?

never played the old portal way but im not sure i completely love the stairs. but its not the worst.

Personally I prefer the chance, I just wish they there was a grace period of 5-10 seconds after someone used a staircase where others could also use it so that if your playing Duos or Trios you can reasonably escape with your party.

#$*%! No wonder I have not escaped yet. I have been looking for the portals I saw in YT videos. No wonder I end up dying to earthquakes, I have been looking for the wrong thing. lol

i hate this new system. You cant escape in the same exit with your party. Plus on internet there isnt enough information about exits 💀💀

old system generated much more pvp and situations over the ring, but now its so boring and sad

Wish there was a mix of the two where there are still a few consistent one man exits that leave slowly combined with the random portal spawns that allowed for much more player confrontation (and they're nice because you can leave with the team and not leave anyone behind lol)

The removal of the ring is the best thing of the new season, if you ask me. The ice caverns were already great, but this gives a lot of new opportunities while not making the game significantly longer due to the DoT. Great change, hopefully we see this on all maps and future maps. The game isn't just solely PvP so this is great.

Thats sort of my thoughts, I left a bad review of the game because of this new system. Its sad because I like the game and it has so much potential, I mean they fought for the rights for this game and even got it back on steam which extremely rare opportunity. Yet, they make this choice which so random, why not have both systems? Everyone seems to just camp the exists and there is less insensitive to explore, also less fun with a team because I have to leave my friend behind every game it feels. I also really loved those red portals where you could risk everything and go into a massive difficult dungeon, not sure if that's still around. Why do these companies make these changes without consulting the consumer? just get feedback from the community first.

Its a small team and I am sure they are still learning, so I will hold out for hope that things get better and that its just been a rough start.

I understand but why not have the old system in the game for duos or triple parties? I agree that the rope and stairs are good for solos, however I find there is less PVP, less chaotic fun, and people tend to just camp the exists when getting a lucky spawn.

the ropes are bugged. i try to leave and the rope just leave slowly and u get stuck

I'm brand new to the game (and genre, tbh) and I'm pretty sure the staircase extract on Frost Mountain are bugged. My friend and I couldn't leave (I know it's a solo extract), and I just tried again on a solo run and still couldn't go through. Really frustrating :/

You can escape with your party. On the non-ice maps, there are locations where three-person portals spawn every game. You can see them marked on the floor in sort of a blue circle with cracks, but they don't have a marking on the map.

For the ice cavern upper layer, you can use the elevator in the north section of the map and just pile everyone on (one time use) or you can wait for a raft in the east or west side of the map. Those come very regularly.

For the Ice Abyss (lower layer) there are three person portals that spawn in the north and southern section of the map.

Rope is a scam, used it and didn't get extracted at all.

The string extraction system is bugged and does not work.
At least in my gaming experience after last night's maintenance.
Does it happen to anyone else?
