Dark and Darker

Dark and Darker

Anything like this but pve only?
I know im definitely not the first person to ask this, but ive tried dark and darker before and, while it can have fun moments, I genuinely just don't enjoy the pvp aspect. Im not saying the game is bad though, because it isn't IMO.

DaD aside though, does anyone have any suggestions for games similiar to DaD but preferably pve? Excluding super obvious suggestions like Skyrim. Ive been kind of wandering around hoping someone creates a pve dark and darker-like for some months now, like how some devs are starting to tap into the Tarkov community and provide PVE only alternatives to tarkov.

Thanks for reading and hopefully replying with some suggestions, cheers.

EDIT: suggestions dont have to include released games. Im happy to just receieve suggestions of products that aren't out yet, i've been impatiently following Monomyth's development for some time now lol, i'm very excited for it's release.

EDIT 2: whoever clown reacted me...Thanks?? Im going to assume you thought I was asking for a PVE mode and got mad...Thanks for the steam points.

hmm... I'm also compiling my list of games similar to DaD, but so far they haven't come out yet:
Avowed
Alkahest
Mestaria
Monomyth
Blight: Survival
Kinstrife (maybe)
The Wayward Realms
I was also thinking about installing a first-person mod for Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3

Warhammer 40k Space Marines 2 is coming out on the 7th? 9th?
Dungeons of Sundaria, though the combat is lackluster and some classes can just crush the game solo compared to others but each plays a role properly.
Dungeons of Eterra? think its called, kinda similar to Sundaria, probably same people.

Dunno man. I want a good PvE dungeon crawler with friends in FPS or TPS styles. Problem is a lot of the games dont do combat well or progression well. My next problem is getting friends to play the damn thing with me. 7 Days To Die? Yea sure, Palworld, great...A hub based dungeon crawler without all the other crafting suvival aspects? Nah, they bug out on me.
Literally whole Roguelike and roguelite genres are this, but pve only.

However the core GAMEPLAY varies wildly.

Also they're usually more in the "fight till you drop/reach the end of the run" and "build on the fly with random crap" genres rather than preparation and extraction.

If you compared this to say Barony for example the only things they have in common are being first person and taking place in something vaguely considerable as a dungeon.
Nightingale
all the lobbies are empty cuz of multiclass for me. just load into crypts or ice caves, free lobby. pve only.

There is another game that has a PvE mode called "Dungeon Stalkers". Granted it just finished its 2rd, I think, beta

Its the same as DaD with the PvEvP so it is not PVE only that the op is looking for, or myself for that matter.

Theres no way you're going to continue doing that same thing over and over..? eventually you're going to hit a wall and be like ''yep i beat the game, time to move on''

it sounds like fun at first, but after 50-100 hrs its not going to be, trust me. it gets very old very fast.

This is an insane take, that's the point of having multiplayer and pvp as an option. the PVP is there for AFTER you master the pve. The reason to keep playing the game. That wouldn't ruin the game people would still have the option to continue playing online and there would be less bad will on the company from their customers.

People want to master the PVE first, then move onto the pvp if they like it, I always play the campaign of an rts, or fighting game then if I enjoy it I play the online ranked mode. There's nothing wrong with having a game like that not every game you have to play forever as a live service second job.

I put like only 40 hours into metaphor refantazio and it's my favorite game of the year, 50-100 hours is a perfectly respectable number for an experience, if not a great one. I don't know what got steam users in the mindset eveyr game needs to generate a few thousand hours of playtime to be acceptable I'm happy with a 2-20 hour experiences. 50-100 hours not being long enough playtime in a game is an insane stance to take lmao.

Dude I so agree on the point regarding the length of game experiences and people's expectations being too high. Games, generally speaking, were superior in quality when devs did extremely focused experiences that were around 20 hours on average to complete. I just finished the ME trilogy for the first time and it was SUPERB and did not overstay it's welcome in the slightest. Meanwhile I fall asleep playing the more recent Assassins Creed Games because there's just too much and it feels so stretched to squeeze as much playtime out of the player as possible. He's probably right that i'd get bored after like 50 hours tops but so what, the fact remains that I want experiences akin to DaD that are pve only lol
Just found this thread and it's not a medieval dungeon crawler but Sulfur is a PvE only Extraction game
