Game destroying my HDD
It's been a few months and the bug with HDD loading up to 100% has still not been fixed.

I will mention that the game is on SSD. But for some reason it loads HDD...

They also don't seem to grasps that good systems uses both SSD's and HDD, the price/return ratio is still very much in favor of HDDs, I doubt any of them can have the 20TB from only a handful of SSDs.

And for the ones who do not believe that their game is screwing up with your system, here's the proof:

This is the only game in which I come across something like this. Obviously, the problem is not with my computer.

Have you tried starting it from floppy?

i accidentally installed the game on my HDD, and i got worried about your post, and checked the stats. 3% usage... I think your hard drive is broken af....

A couple of things come to mind:
- NV Shadowplay using hard drive as temp folder
- Memory paging is set on hard drive (though it shouldn't be dumpstering it)
- Maybe steam is generating shaders (they're stored in the main Steam installation folder, so it's installed on HDD, but games are on SSD, that would be the case)

Nothing really game-specific, at a loss what would it even be other than that

But my game is already on SSD. All my games are on SSD and none of them except DaD destroys my HDD

The game is not doing anything to the drive it is not installed on. As people have said above you either have windows creating page files and virtual memory on your hard drive or you are using it to record and its capping off. No scenario has anything to do with this game at all.

Have you called a priest? Maybe a Witch Doctor?

Maybe Alex Jones can help you.

Do you even read what I write? I spend my time trying to get the problem across, and you just write me all sorts of nonsense.

Listen carefully. I repeat for the last time — no other game in the entire universe destroys my HDD. Even if I downloaded an unoptimized terrible and hastily made indie game for 0.25 cents, it will do anything but not load my HDD 100% for no reason. I can launch absolutely any game from the entire steam store. I can run 99999 games, but I won't have a problem with unexplained disk usage at 100%.

The problem is solely with DaD developers who are too lazy to fix an obvious and elementary bug.

So what has support said about this so far?
Why are you using a HDD in 2024?

A good SSD is like $50 lol

People can’t afford the 30$ price tag, you think they got 50$ for an SSD?
