In "normal" lobbies everybodies gear is equalized to starter gear only. A F2P player can only play in normal lobbies, therefor there is not pay to win.
The only thing I would argue is pay to win is only being able to have one character. While not completely pay to win it removes options from new player's class choices.
When they release a not timely limited demo which allows you to play 80% of the game, call me.
No, you won't get the game for free and it is free 2 play by definition and by the industry standards.
F2P games are the games which are entirely free to play and funded by microtransactions or having a huge portion of the game unlocked and the rest if behind the paywall like Destiny 2.
Don't like it, then don't play it.
But the free weekend bums as I call them are never satisfied
Final fantasy 14 has an endless trial that goes from base game to their first expansion.
You can play the trial forever if you wanted, but its still a demo.
Not all demos end, and the F2P for this game is a demo.
