Hope this is helpful on why there is a paywall and why the game is limited in the F2P version.

Basically the free to play version has two sides to it, one obvious one is so people can try the game and see some of what it has to offer without paying. And the second side being all the limitations, which are to prevent people from creating new accounts cheating/teaming in the solo game mode. In order to get high tear loot and a lot of gold to sell for real world money. So the limitations are there to prevent IRL traders from having infinite free accounts to hack on thus limiting the amount of pre teamers and hackers. And yes being limited to one character is kind of dumb but it is a incentive for people to buy the game this is a smaller studio who makes and runs this game on their own.

Also i have seen alot of people claiming this game is pay to win, its not unless you IRL trade although that is ban-able and if people are referring to the skins which give bonuses. They can all be earned by playing the game and extracting to get blue stone shards or just pay a few bucks to skip that. And almost all of the better skins are earned by doing quests at the end of wipe. Although some are limited to high roller exclusive tasks, or were so in the past i don't know. And some are no longer obtainable.

By the way the High Roller dungeon is basically just harder content yes with better loot. But honestly as someone with 500+ hours normal's is more fun because you don't get instantly killed by giga juices who take no dmg and two tap you, normal's is based off skill not gear.

So i hope if you bothered to read this text wall, i hope it helped you understand a bit. You are missing some content by only playing the free to play version but most of that content is just geared fights which aren't very fun in my opinion. And yes i agree the game is not perfect, it has bugs, exploits, class imbalance, and some occasional visual bugs. But don't complain about the game being not fully free to play, i wish it was not like that but it has to be for the health of the game look at all fully free to play extraction games they are all infested with cheaters and teamers. Once again if you bothered reading this hope it was helpful, also yes i am a ironmace fan boy but what i said i believe to be honest and true.
