Account / Character names
What year is it again? 2024 and Devs are still making account/character names first come first serve.. imagine if everyone on planet earth had to be born with a Brand new name instead of re-using names.

Devs, add a code ( example #35234652) in the background to player names and Let us use the NAMES we want to use!

No, get more creative. This makes everything simpler, such as reporting players and adding friends.

Sounds like defending lazy developing. Activision/Blizzard accounts show that its possible to "Add friends / report players" just fine while still being able to use whatever in-game character name you want.

Activision/Blizzard is also a multi-million dollar studio with 100x the size Iron-mace will never be. bro is right. get more creative with your name......I'm not trying to see a million "Kirito's" roleplaying a rogue.

With Activision/Blizzard you can't get in direct contact with a developer to report a player lmfao. You click a button and pray.

idk if thats a good or bad thing tho. a lot of people are in the wrong when they report others in this game.....some of it leads to dumb bans, not that it doesn't happen in other games.
I've also heard that some of the moderators are "incompetent" when it comes to resolving issues (I think one of them was "JaxX"? but i don't remember what the situation was with the player....they couldve just been a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who was in the wrong).

And even Steam/Valve has incompetent employees, I got banned from discussions a while ago, but made a support ticket and it was removed within an hour (Thanks Donald).

Steam/Valve, thanks for reminding me XD. Steam lets users have ANY display name they want on their account. pretty nice feature isn't it.

Yet adding a friend who has a common name is a hassle, if they aren't online to give your their friend code or profile link it can be difficult to find their profile.

i mean, i did name a moderator. personally i don't have "proof" i was just telling my personal experience of what i see from time to time. i think the dude who has experience with dealing with him is "IRedKnight?" (i dont remember his steam name) but hes a dude on here with 2khrs and comes and goes in forums to complain about the game that he supposedly dropped. (not throwing shade. people do what they want). i'm sure others have seen similar posts about them getting banned and why. its just a generalization.

Steam is also a mult-million dollar company with assets and resources to do that....unlike IronMace.

Do you think they became muti-million dollar companies by cutting corners and doing the less hassle/easier route? No, they worked hard on their projects and code. made great games and products that changed and shaped the industry.

you're comparing a indi studio of ~100 who are working on their first game. it is entirely acceptable that something of what you're asking isnt implemented. Dark and Darker doesnt do cross-play with other consoles like Playstation/Xbox/Nintendo, it isn't in their interest to develop a system like you want. maybe if there was cross-play sure.... theres only 40 people between customer service and support...the other 60 are working directly on the game. in no world would it make sense to have a list of people with the exact same name with differential numbers when you're getting lists of tickets submitted that you probably already have to sort through. the company has shown already that there's lack of communication within its doors. they're just keeping their liabilities in check probably...just get better at making a name x).
