So will others like myself who bought the game on the main website still use the launcher or will we get a steam key once it's back on steam
Just curious considering it did get taken down from here

I personally think it's unlikely but the devs have stated it is a goal of theirs, but their track-record of staying true to what they say is at about 13%. Time will tell

i dont think so. They would have to close launcher to prevent selling keys and some may not like the switch to steam.

I've added comments about this before.. IMO, there are a few choices:
- Ironmace decides to continue with their platform, which they have just completed in order to not go into negative ROI, this means supporting two ways forward - Blacksmith & Steam;
- Ironmace decides it's best for their small team to focus just on Steam, and they move back to utilize Steam as distribution method and identity management, as well as cloud data saves - which is what they were using before, this will likely be more productive to their team BUT since now they already have Blacksmith, it will be somewhat an additional "cost".

and I do hope they actually provide Steam keys to everyone who purchased before and they invalidate all other methods and force people to shift into Steam, as I find very, very annoying now we have 20 launchers to deal with.. it's Steam, Xbox, EA, Epic, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Amazon just to name a few big ones.

Also just the sheer amount of issues the blacksmith launcher keeps on giving quite a few people

I can answer that for you dude it's the same issue with tarkovs launcher some isps hate the protocol the clients use to update/download the game and some pepole haveing issues may need to contact their isp and see what's up or change some secuirty settings around in there router till it finnaly connects I sold my steam deck to a friend and no matter what he couldent connect it to the internet some isps feel the program there running is a threat and blocks it from functioning its stupid it sucks and most isps like Comcast are top culprits in this

This is absolutely the problem for many, usually a VPN will solve it as a temporary fix. However there are other issues as well, every time i close my own game, the launcher tries to "update" the game, says update complete and then gives an error trying to start the game until i verify the integrity of the files, which is only a short fix until i play and then close the game again after which the process repeats itself. Reinstalling the blacksmith launcher and game and deleting the registry files seems to fix this for longer, but so far it has always come back eventually. And if i try to start the game directly through the EXE while this error is ongoing, it will start but will state that the build is the incorrect version and close again.

EDIT: And this is only one variety of issue among many. The ISP/security port issue is also just a small portion of the total issues encountered by people
